Planting swan plant seeds

Today we planted swan plant seeds in little peat pots!
Scientist and teacher Stan Swan brought seeds from his garden and helped us plant them in the pots.
Stan showed us how the seeds grow inside a swan shaped pod.
That is why they are called swan plants!
We sorted out the seeds from the fluffy layer that helps the seeds float with the wind.
It was so interesting watching the pots swell up when we watered them! Everyone has a number on a toothpick so they know which pot is theirs.
We will wait a week while we keep watering them and then look for little green shoots!
