Friday in Week 2

Congratulations to our assembly certificate winners this week!
Congratulations to Green table, who were the best organised table group this week.

We have been investigating magnets this week and Rory brought in a strong electro-magnet that his dad uses at work.
Today Rory was able to pick 3 chairs at once with the help of our big buddies from Room 15.

Here is a message from Akhil!

Akhil had a lovely day today in Toowoomba in Australia with his grandparents. We celebrated the 100 day milestone by doing lots of counting and eating lots of cupcakes!

Here's a photo Akhil wanted to share of what he counted. Hope room 1 also had a great celebration and lots of yummy cookies.

100 Days of School!

Today we celebrated 100 days of school in Room1
We iced and decorated 100 cookies (5 each)  and estimated how far they would stretch in a line across the classroom. We made collections of 100  counters, blocks and lots of other things!
 We ate the most delicious cookie morning tea and after lunch we made yummy carrot and grape kebabs.
Thank you to Sally and Honor and Kaye and Lucy who helped too!

Welcome to Term 3!

Well done to the most organised group table this week - Blue table. You were awesome at getting straight to work, sharing materials and tidying up after yourselves!

Kite Day

Room1 made and flew these kites with their buddies to celebrate Matariki and science week. Well done Room1 - you worked so well fantastic effort!
