Merry Christmas Everyone!

A Merry Christmas to everyone who visits our Room 1 blog!
We all made these collage cards to give to someone special to wish them a very merry Christmas!

Keep safe and I will see you all back at school on the 7th February 2012.

I am also looking forward to teaching my new class of Year 1's in Room 1 next year!

Kelly Sports

Today Vanessa and her team of coaches from Kelly Sports showed us how to play basketball, hockey, soccer, tee ball, non stop cricket and scatter ball. We were divided into 12 teams and had fun playing each game from the start of school right up until lunch time . It was lots of fun!

Clever Sarah Miller! ( Emma's mum)

Miss Ingram who teaches next door to us in Room 2 is leaving to have a baby soon. Emma's mum Sarah made this beautiful cake for her! Room 1 all wish Miss Ingram best wishes for the future and look forward to her visiting with her new baby after the holidays.

Florrie's new puppy.

Florrie's mum Liz brought their new Labradoodle puppy Olive for a visit to school yesterday. We put out lots of paper just in case! She was very well behaved and we admired her lovely woolly coat. She was so lovely and soft!

Christmas Concert

We all loved singing at the Christmas Concert yesterday! Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special day for us!

Christmas is Coming!

At jump jam this morning everyone was dressed in Christmas colours ready for our Year 1 & 2 concert and afternoon tea this afternoon! We are all looking forward to it!

Sunsmart Posters

Room 1 made sunsmart posters today with the SLIP, SLOP, SLAP, WRAP message! We hope everyone remembers this in the holidays!

Junior Athletic Sports

Today we held the Junior Athletic Sports on the school field. Room 1 enjoyed having the year 1 students from Room 4 join us for the morning. The sports were a great success and my thanks go to all the wonderful parents from Rooms 1 and 4 who helped with organising, scoring and taking photographs. Congratulations to Joe, Ben, Daniel and Harry who won the Year 1 Boys Relay and to Sarah, Harriet, Ruby and Poppy who won the Year 1 Girls Relay!
