Room1 have been investigating hazards in our playground and talking about ways to keep ourselves safe.

Dog Safety

The junior classes are learning about keeping safe at home and at school.
We are revisiting  Room1's Dog Safety rules - from the dog safety visit at the end of last term.

Dog Safety by Room1

We learned these things about dog safety.

1 Ask the owner before you pat the dog.

2 Let the dog smell your hand then pat it on the neck or chest.

3 Don’t scream around dogs, they get scared.

4 If a dog races up to you stand still.

5 If a dog knocks you over, crouch on the ground like a turtle and call for help.
