Room 1 students have planted swan plant seed collected from last season’s swan plants. They were intrigued with the swan shaped seed pods and the gossamer like filaments that enable the seeds to be spread by the wind. We are using jiffy peat pots to plant the seed which makes it a simple task the children can undertake themselves. We have over 50 sprouting seeds at present in our new green house. We will transplant these into our butterfly garden.
