Grandparent's Afternoon

This afternoon Year 1 & 2 hosted our Grandparents for a Grandparent's afternoon.
We have all been learning about our families and how life has changed since our parents and grandparents were our age. Lots of grandparents came and they brought special things from their childhood to show and talk about.
First we sang some songs in the hall.
Then we took our grandparents to our classrooms and showed them our super quality work!

After that Johnny's Grandad John Notman showed us some of his collection of cigarette cards. He covered his books with brown paper! Here he is with the Grab Bag Johnny made about his history.

Lulu had Nana Elaine and Grandpa Chris Booker to visit. They brought some old fashioned glass milk bottles and an old camera for us to look at.
Emily's grandparents in China live too far away to visit so Emily's mum sent us some photos. Here is her Grandad.
Here are her mum, her Grandma and her Great Grandma.
We love your photos Emily, and hope that your grandparents see them on our blog!
We finished Grandparent's afternoon with a delicious afternoon tea!
Thank you to all the grandparents and the mums and dads who helped make it such a special day!
