We celebrated 100 days of school by having a maths day exploring the number 100.
Archie was superstar and completed our bundle of 10 sets of 10 iceblock sticks to make 100. We have been adding a stick every day! Then he could cross off number 100 on our board!
Everyone brought a bag of 100 tiny objects to count.
We invited Room 2 to visit and talked to them our collections and about number 100
Here are some of our collections!
Next we decorated 100 biscuits. We worked out that we would get 4 biscuits each.
Then we estimated how long the line would be if we lined up all the biscuits in a row.
Our estimation was 6 metres.
Archie our superstar measured to check with the metre rulers.
5.6 metres! Almost right but a bit short!
Barney, Hugo and Archie checked with a big builder's tape measure.
Then we ate them!
Yum!!
