The Princess and the Pea

Our collage artwork project this week was planned by Aimee Hartstonge, our teacher trainee.
The class watched the story of The Princess and the Pea on the data projector and then layered strips of paper to make a huge pile of mattresses to glue a pea under. 
Can you spot the dried peas we glued on?
Everyone drew themselves as a prince or princess on the top of the mattress pile!

Keeping Ourselves Safe

Constable Julie is working with the Year 1 & 2 classes for 2 weeks on the Keeping Ourself Safe Programme. Remember to show Mum and Dad the activity in your book bag each day and to do the Home Book activity for each day!

Junior Assembly

Room 1 were the wonderful hosts of Year 1 and 2 Junior Assembly in the school library today!
Everyone clapped when you all held up your Elmer artwork and danced the Summer Jive.
Well done to our super presenters Lulu and Johnny!
 I was so proud of both of you for being brave enough to speak up in front of 6 classes and their teachers! 
You are all awesome Room1!

Luka's First Day

Room 1 were so pleased that Luka has turned 5 and started school today!
She is lucky to have a super big brother Daan, who also started school in Room 1 when he was 5 years old too! Daan came to visit us and helped look after Luka today.
