Several times a term the Year 1 & 2  classes have their own assembly in the school library, with each class taking a turn to be the presenters. Only parents of the class presenting are invited to attend, and our turn will be in week 8 next term.  C.A.R.E.  certificates are awarded to students from each room.
Congratulations to certificate winners from Room1.

Meeting our big Buddies!

Today we met our big buddies for the first time! Our buddy class is Room 8 and they are in Year 4. Their teacher Mrs Chao brought the class over and we made super shape pictures together at maths time.
Next term we will come and visit you in Room 8! We love being your little buddies!

Matty's First Day

What a super week in Room1! Today we welcomed Matty to our classroom!
Matty loves Letterland and is so clever at remembering all the letter names and their sounds. Well done Matty!

Matty really enjoyed building with the blocks and counting to 100 at maths time.
What a busy day you had Matty!

At the end of the day Matty shared his super writing about his dad with his big sister Emma.
Welcome to school Matty. We are so pleased you have joined us in Room 1!

Shape Hunt

Today Room 1 went on a shape hunt around the playground. Each time we found a shape we counted the number of sides and corners and named the shape. We checked our shape pictures to make sure we had got it right! We had lots of shapes to find and the pentagons, hexagons and octagons were the trickiest!

Tilly's First Day at School

Today we were so lucky to have 2 super new students in Room1! Tilly brought mum and dad to school and showed us that she is a super jump jam dancer already!
You are so good at remembering to put your hand up and you know how to take turns as well too!

Well done Tilly, you are so clever at pointing to the words in your reading book, and very good at making words with the playdough.

Lulu made Tilly a special welcome to school book.

" I liked doing everything best " said Tilly at hometime!
