Birthday treat

Today Room1 had their firstTerm 4 swim at the pool and Ben brought gingerbread men for his birthday treat. He handed them out when we were dressed. Thank you Ben! 

The Gingerbread Man

Today the Dinosaur reading group performed a play called The Gingerbread Man.
Their reading WALT (We Are Learning To ) goal at present is to read with expression.
You were all wonderful and the rest of Room1  loved being the audience.
Well done Dinosaurs! All the other reading group will have a turn too!

Sustainable Coastlines

Today Oliver from Sustainable Coastlines came to speak to us about looking after our environment. We watched a ‘Love your Coast’ litter-awareness presentation which introduces the effects of rubbish on the marine environment, and teaches simple steps we can all make to prevent litter from getting to the coast in the first place.
After morning tea we all went down to the beach and helped with the beach clean.
