100 days of School

Today Room 1 reached 100 days of School!
WE CELEBRATED BY HAVING A FUN MATHS DAY RELATED TO THE NUMBER 100!
We decorated 100 biscuits after working out how many each we would get. The answer was 5!  We estimated how far they would stretch if we lined them up and then checked  our estimation before we ate them.
Everyone collected and then counted out 100 small objects onto 100's boards and we worked out how far 100 steps was from our classroom with our superstar Rory holding a piece of string while we counted the steps. After lunch we made some 100 day glasses and listened to some 100 days of school stories. What a fun day!

NZ Playhouse Show

On Tuesday afternoon years 1-4 were treated to a performance of 'A Land Far Far Away', a show based on fairy story characters.
Room1 really enjoyed the show and we talked later about how we need to face the audience when we put on our production later in the term.
