Brooke's First Day

Today we welcomed Brooke into Room1. You have so many friends to play with Brooke!  We are sure you will love being at school!

The Food Pyramid

We are learning about choosing healthy food to eat to help our bodies grow.
Today we sorted our plastic food into groups in a pyramid shape on the carpet. At the top we put"sometimes food", and at the base, foods that we already know are good for us. In the middle we put food that we think is ok to eat plenty of. When we have learned some more we will check whether we were right.

George's First Day at School

Room 1 welcomed George into Room1 today! William and Flynn were very pleased as they are all special friends together. 
Well done George, you joined in with everything and were such a hard worker! You are so clever at writing your name already. You have beautiful manners and are good at remembering to say please and thank you!

Fabulous self portraits!

Our newest students in Room1 have just completed these wonderful felt pen, pastel and dye self portraits.They are so proud of them!

Sustainable Coastlines

Today we listened to a talk about looking after the sea and the beach. We learned how easy it is for fish and animals like turtles and penguins to eat plastic rubbish that they think is food. They can get sick and die!
We planned to help clean up the beach of near the Yacht Club but it was too cold and windy this morning so we will go on the next fine Friday.

Term 4: Week 1. Ava, Cameron, Adreeta and Makenzie start school today.

We had an awesome day today and I was so proud of the kind and responsible ways you all helped look after our 4 new students today!
