Year 1 are learning some Maori action songs from Mr. Chadwick.
He helps us with the correct actions and teaches us to pronounce the Maori words correctly.

Room 1's favourite song is Oma Rapeti!

ANZAC Day

Room 1 have been talking about ANZAC Day. We looked at some real medals and read some stories about brave solders. Here we are looking at the ANZAC Memorial outside the school gate.

Mathletics Hall of Fame!

During the holidays Room 1 were placed 35th

out of the top 50 classes in all schools in New Zealand who participate in Mathletics online. We were congratulated on the website in THE MATHLETICS HALL OF FAME!

Well done Room 1 and thank you to all the parents and care givers who ensured their children kept up their mathletics practice over the holiday break!
