Celebration of Learning

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and brothers and sisters who visited  Room1 for our Celebration of Learning.
The children loved sharing their work and their progress with you!

Celebration of Learning and a birthday treat!

Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers and cards, wine, yummy treats and Sorrento voucher that you surprised me with for my birthday today! It was lovely of you and I am deeply moved by your generosity and thoughtfulness.
 It made my birthday a very special one! 

 The classroom will be open between 3pm - 6pm for our 'Celebration of Learning' The children will share their work displayed in the classroom and their Collection Folders with you. They are all very proud of their lovely work!
All family members welcome! It would be great to see some of the grandparents who came to our Grandparents afternoon so please extend an invitation to them too.

Fairy Bread Fractions

We are learning about 1/2 and 1/4 for maths so today we made fairy bread fractions.
First we buttered a slice of bread and cut it in half. Some people had 2 rectangles and some people had 2 triangles. Everyone was correct because we found it depended on how you cut the slice.
We ate the 1/2  shapes and then repeated it by cutting our shapes into 4 quarters. Then we ate the 4 1/4 shapes!
YUM YUM!

Super Spellers

Room1 are super spellers!
Here we are practising our spelling lists independently on the whiteboards during reading rotation.
