I had such a lovely surprise today when Room1 tidied up all the wet day lunchtime toys by themselves when the bell went for afternoon school! Well done -  you all earned helping hands certificates for looking after our classroom and being ready to start your work!

Welcome to Term 3, Maori Language week & to Thomas, who started school today.

We started Term 3 today with a very cold and windy day!
It was Thomas's first day of school so ka pai Thomas for doing up your jacket by yourself when you went outside!

We are learning a new movement programme called moveMprove with Melanie and Jessica.

It will help us move our bodies in various ways in the space around us.

As part of our learning about Matariki Room1 read some Maori legends and painted their favourites  with water colour paints. We are proud of our paintings of Maui catching the Sun with a net.

Celebration of Learning

Room 1 enjoyed sharing their wonderful work and their collections clear files with parents (and grandmas) at our end of term Celebration of Learning! It was so good to see you all showing mum or dad how you are achieving your goals and your work is getting better and better!

Satchel's First Day

It was Satchel's first day of school on Wednesday. He shared his folder from East Harbour Kindergarten at news time and enjoyed playing with his friends at morning tea and lunchtime. "Best of all I like the ipads and the computers"
