Parachute!

Today we played some games with the school parachute!
We all had to work together as a team to raise it up in the air. It was a bit tricky but we persevered until we managed it!
It was so much fun hiding inside and swapping places with the person opposite us on the other side of the parachute!

 When we came back inside we made some parachute artwork with all of us holding on to the handles.

Production 2018 Living the Dream

We all worked hard to practice our item and we were all very happy and confident performing on the stage!

School Assembly hosted by Korora Syndicate

Room 1 were so proud of Wiiiam and Amber who were the announcers for our Korora full school assembly.
They both spoke so clearly and well!

Teddy Bear Picnic

We have a marble jar in Room1 for "good talking"  - asking thoughtful questions, sharing good ideas and speaking up clearly at news are good examples.
We decide as a class what we would like to do as a treat each time the jar is full! Our jar was full so we chose our treat- a teddy bear picnic.
Unfortunately it rained on Friday but we had a picnic of tiny teddy biscuits and a teddy bear cake with our picnic blankets inside!
Isla's mum Ara supervised the cake decorating!
Thank you Ara, it looked amazing and tasted delicious!

2019 Calendars

Room1 have been busy creating wonderful pastel, pen and dye family portraits for the calendars,diaries and cards that you can order for 2019. See them in the classroom window and on the Room 1 blog or at the school office.
